April’s weather forecast for the region is starting off with rain, and the rest of the month isn’t looking so hot either. That’s why news of Fiji Airways increasing its services in Vancouver has got travellers ready to pack their bags.
The national airline of Fiji announced that Vancouver services will increase to three flights per week starting on June 16 and lasting year-round, with additional flights being added during peak travel periods.
Fiji Airways also revealed that it was expanding its codeshare partnership with British Airways to include the Nadi–Vancouver route, giving passengers more ways to get to the South Pacific country’s main transportation hub.
Paul Scurrah, Fiji Airways managing director and chief executive officer, said the expansion of the airline’s Vancouver services and the extension of the codeshare partnership with British Airways are proud milestones for the company as they continue to grow in North America.
“We are excited by the opportunities this creates for our guests, offering greater choice, convenience and seamless connectivity across our network, said Scurrah in a release.
“These developments reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering a world-class travel experience, while sharing the warmth, care and spirit of Fiji with every journey.”
Fiji is renowned as a tropical paradise with gorgeous beaches and cultural experiences that attract visitors from around the world.
Guests flying on the Nadi–Vancouver route will also get to experience Fiji Airways’ recently introduced World Class service standard, which was recognized with the APEX World Class 2026 Award.

“Expanding the number of flights to Fiji from Vancouver further strengthens our role as Canada’s Asia-Pacific gateway, while offering travellers more choice and seamless connectivity across the South Pacific.”
Fiji Airways isn’t the only airline making moves in the skies above Vancouver.
