The woman was inside a home in the 12100-block 101B Ave. when shots were fired outside
Police are investigating after a North Surrey home was shot at Sunday night, injuring a person inside.
Surrey police officers received a call about possible shots fired outside a home in the 12100-block of 101B Avenue just after 9:10 p.m. on Sunday.
There were several people inside the home at the time, said the Surrey Police Service. One woman was injured and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The motive remains under investigation. At this time, police haven’t linked the shooting to the continuing rash of extortion-related violence in the region.

The police said officers are expected to be at the property Tuesday to gather evidence. Investigators will work with other police agencies to determine if the shooting is connected to other cases.
Anyone with information about the shooting, or who was in the area between 8:30 and 9:15 p.m. and witnessed any suspicious activity or has dashcam video, is asked to contact the Surrey police at 604-599-0502.
